Introduction & Services

Wales Hip & Knee is based in South Wales with care provided by Mr Matthew Dodd BSc MFSEM FRCS (Tr Orth), a Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in conditions in the hip and knee. He sees patients who have sustained acute sporting or traumatic injuries to hip and knee joints as well as managing patients through the early aches and pains of arthritis through to the need for joint replacement.


Accurate history and examination is complemented with further investigations to diagnose the cause of your symptoms.


A range of surgical and conservative options are often required to treat your condition.


Combined care with your physiotherapist to optimise the outcome of your surgery.
